Utah Trip Numero Tres

Third and final post of our trip so don't forget to read the previous two! (Though besides being in chronological order, you can read these pretty much in any order you feel like. Oh, and I know they're kind of long, so read them in short bursts if you need to).
This is the first apartment we lived in, in Provo and as a married couple. Our is the tops middle. We lived here for 2 1/2 years before finally feeling cramped in a one bed/one bath apartment.
Family picture! We never have pictures of the three of us together since one of us usually has to take the picture.
Scott and Emily were kind enough to host a barbeque and invite Daniel's family to join us.
I love how they are just all doing their own thing.
I just wish Max was looking!
Concentrating on his Yo Gabba Gabba CD.
We had the lovely opportunity to visit the longtime family friend of the Jones Family: The Bassetts. Bryan and I grew really close to them when I was going to BYU before we got married. Every time Bryan came to visit me, he would stay with the Bassetts and they became our second family. Above is their newest addition, Sophia, whom we were able to meet for the first time.
Kate, Sophia, and Dallin. I don't know what Max was doing.
By the end of our visit, Max finally let Kate hold him, as long as he was distracted with the truck anyway.
Somehow, we managed not to get any pictures with our fantastic hosts, Scott and Emily, but I did get some pictures with their beautiful cat, Maddie. Maddie is just a kitten, so she hasn't yet learned to hate people and was just so sweet with Max the entire time. Max loved her to death and despite him slapping her face, pulling her tail and sitting on her all the time (all unintentional mind you), Maddie never scratched or bit him and just tolerated Max like a champ! I was very grateful for her sweetness and patience with Max.
Max reading his book on the drive back to Spokane.
We stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Missoula, MT for a nice break from the car and they had these awesome high chairs that I totally wanted to steal.

Utah Trip Numero Dos

I didn't want to bombard one post with a million pictures so I figured I would break it into parts to spread the love. This post apparently is all about our visit with Daniel's lovely family (Bryan's brother). I took a lot of pictures here for Papa and Grandma Jones and because I know it's going to be a really long time before Max is able to see his cousins again. Max does very poorly with adults, but really well with other babies and kids so it was fun to see him interact with the twins, Hannah and Carter.
Max and Hannah became pretty good buddies, hanging out together most of the visit.
 Carter, Max and Hannah
Hannah spent a lot of time staring down Bryan or me and took the most convincing to get to smile at us. I found that I could win her over with my camera and snacks :)
Max likes to push us over when we are sitting on the ground.
Sarah (sis-in-law), Max and me :)
Max loves being tossed in the air, but we usually do it in our small apartment, so we can never throw him very high. Bryan surely took advantage of the extra space to get him up pretty high.
 Our little thumb sucker.
He was terrified of this bear when I tried putting him there to get a picture.
The men: Bryan, Daniel and Ethan.
Max kept finding and trying to drink out of Hannah and Carter's sippy cups, so they just gave him his own to use.
Bonding over chips and TV.

Utah Trip Numero Uno

We had the wonderful opportunity to take a trip down to Utah for a week and thanks to our fabulous friends, Scott and Emily Fletcher, we were able to stay for free! Seriously, it was so great and relaxing being able to stay with our friends in their new house in West Jordan. My big brother was graduating from BYU with his masters in school psychology, so we made sure to plan our trip the same time my family would be there and though we didn't make it to the actual graduation ceremony (blame Max), we enjoyed being to able to see and spend time with my family. We made sure to spend lots of time at BYU, eat at our favorite places, and see some friends and family living in Utah. Though we had our doubts about Utah when we first moved there for school, it's where Bryan and I started our lives together and we just felt like we were home again.
Max was WONDERFUL for us on our 13 hour drive down. I was amazed! The only thing he had a trouble with was sleeping in the car; he would go to sleep just fine with our routine, but would twitch every five minutes or so and wake up screaming. Poor guy.
My nephew Henry loves his cousin Max! It's too bad their not closer in age because Henry kept trying to get Max to play with him and follow him everywhere.
Meeting my new niece Thea for the first time! She was bored with me before she even met me.
 Max and Abuela
The clan: Abuela (hidden), Grandpa, Johann (brother), Deborah (sis-in-law), Thea (in stroller), Henry, and Bryan. I must have been holding Max...
 Cutie patooties.
 She loves me :)
Max did well when I first held Thea, but eventually any time he saw me holding her he would cry and cry until I gave her up and help him instead.
Bryan wanted a frozen yogurt facial.
 Aunt Debo and the kidsies.
Borrowing cousin Thea's stroller for a nap.
I miss hanging out with this kid
