Shanghai Circus

So for those of you who may not know, my birthday is today!!! In celebration, Bryan took me to go see the "New Shanghai Circus" last night at BYU and it was amazing!! I couldn't believe how agile and strong everyone was. Some of the GIRLS were carrying the weight of up to three other girls! It was absolutely fantastic to see! One of my favorite things they did was the hoop jumping. The guys did that part and they would jump through hoops that were way above their heads feet first and even butt first! I was also very impressed by the tight rope girl. She rode a unicycle on it and hoola-hooped with about 15 hoops and climbed a latter that she plced on the tight rope. The contortionist girls was kind of freaky. For every act, at least every 30 seconds you couldn't help but clap or say "wow!" or "ooo!" or "aahh!" because of the crazy things they were doing. Here are some pictures (none of the actual show we went to), but it shows some of the things they were doing:

The celebration continues tonight when we go to JDawgs, courtesy of a sweet lady who works in my office, and I'll probably open my "biggest" present tonight. My sister-in-law, Deborah's birthday is Saturday so we're combining the main "party" in the middle, which is when I open the rest of my presents (meaning the 3 others that I have). So tomorrow we are going out to dinner with my brother and family, and Bryan's brother and family, to Tepanyaki! It's going to be so nice to spend the evening with family.

Olympic Glory

I am unbelievably excited for the Olympics this year!! (Well, I am EVERY year they come around). It's going to be so exciting! I've always had such a desire to go to the Olympics...to compete. But since I'm lazy and don't ever plan on training that hard for anything, my dream will never come true. So instead, one day I would like to at least go and watch some events in person. I have my fingers crossed for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London! Between Bryan and I, we pretty much want to watch every event this year, but here are the ones I'm looking forward to the most:

(This guy reminds me of the movie Blades of Glory)

It's very unfortunate Sasha Cohen didn't make the team this year.

*Just to name a few :)
